Foliosa
Interactive audio-video-installation for one person. 2007
16.-18.2.2007 University of Hildesheim, conference Performativity and Performance.

The sounds that the visitor makes when entering the room in which Foliosa is presented are recorded through a microphone and fed back into the speakers with a time delay. With a webcam, the visitor can 'read' the photos and objects displayed on the table. The images appear enlarged on the monitor, the visual interaction is programmed in a manner that the viewer can zoom in on particular sections of an image. By moving the camera, sounds and musical structures are also influenced. The sound material consists of field recordings and sounds from various media contexts. Foliosa is conceived as a performative installation for one person. It centers around the encounter of the visitor with the images and sounds of the installation, which he or she creates, plays with and absorbs.
